David Boyette Stevens (1923- ), native of Augusta, Ga., was a commercial pilot and university attorney at East Carolina University. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, he married Willa King Horner in 1942. Stevens served as lieutenant in the United States Army Air Force Transport Command, and later as colonel.
